The app is a tool. The work is yours.

Ngumba is published by Obiverse LLC and is free to download and use. There is no account, no subscription required to keep what you have made, and nothing you must sign up for.

If a future version offers paid features, what you have already made stays yours and stays reachable, whether or not you pay for anything.

Everything you scan, write, sign and keep is yours. We take no ownership of it, no licence over it, and we hold no copy — see the privacy policy, which is short for the same reason.

You are responsible for what you scan and send: that you have the right to it, and that sending it to somebody is lawful where you are.

Because nothing is uploaded, nothing can be recovered by us. If the handset is lost, broken, wiped, or the app is deleted, the documents on it are gone.

Ngumba can write a backup file for you to keep. Doing so is your responsibility, and we recommend it for anything irreplaceable. We cannot restore what we never had.

Ngumba helps you produce documents. It does not give legal, tax or accounting advice, and it does not know the rules of your jurisdiction.

Tax rates, registration numbers, withholding, invoice numbering and what a document must contain to be accepted are yours to get right, and worth checking with somebody qualified where the amounts matter.

A signature you place with Ngumba is your own act. Whether a signed document is binding, and whether an electronic signature is accepted, depends on the law where you are and on the agreement between you and the other party — not on this app.

Ngumba is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law where you are allows. We do not promise it is free of faults, that a scan will be accepted by any particular institution, or that it will suit a purpose you have in mind.

To the extent the law allows, Obiverse LLC is not liable for lost documents, lost business, or other loss arising from using the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid for the app, which is nothing.

Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.

We may change the app and these terms. Material changes will be shown on this page with a new effective date, and continuing to use Ngumba after that means you accept them.

You can stop at any time by deleting the app. Because we hold nothing, there is no account to close and nobody to tell.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law of your own country gives you protections that cannot be set aside.

You are given a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Ngumba on devices you own or control, for as long as you keep it. The app itself — its code, its name and its design — stays ours; nothing here transfers it to you.

You may not sell, rent or redistribute the app, pass it off as your own, or take it apart in order to rebuild it, except where the law where you live says you may do so regardless of what this says.

You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live. If you are not, an adult must agree to these terms on your behalf.

Apple requires certain things to be said plainly when an app carries its own terms, and they are true of this one:

This agreement is between you and Obiverse LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Ngumba or its contents, and has no obligation to support it. We provide any support there is, at admin@obiverse.net.

If Ngumba fails to work as it should and you paid for it, Apple may refund what you paid; beyond that refund, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Any other claim — that the app does not do what was claimed, that it infringes somebody's rights, or anything arising under consumer or product law — is ours to answer, not Apple's.

You confirm you are not in a country subject to a United States embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any United States list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary of them.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable where you are, the rest stands and that part is read as narrowly as it needs to be in order to be valid.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit to be excluded.
